How to prepare for my Arm Lift surgery in Turkey assisted by IXALMED?

Pre-Operative and Aftercare Instructions for Arm Lift in Turkey assisted by IXALMED
Pre-operation instructions:

• Do not take medications or vitamin supplements that contain aspirin, ibuprofen (for example, Advil, Motrin, Aleve, etc.) because they can affect blood clotting.
• Stop smoking before at least 4 weeks. Nicotine slows down the healing period.
• Stop using all medicines or herbal supplements. They can affect blood clotting.
• Stop drinking alcohol at least 2 days before your surgery.
• If you are taking any medical treatment please inform your consultant at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Stop eating or drinking anything for 8 hours before surgery.
• Prefer clothing that does not require a lot of arm movement to put on (button-down or zip-up shirt, sweatpants, etc.).
• Do not take wristbands, watches, or anything of value to the hospital on the day of your surgery (everything you take will have to be removed to enter the operating room).
Post-Arm Lift Surgery Instructions
• After a brachioplasty, the incisions will be covered with bandages. The arms will be wrapped loosely with elastic bandages to minimize swelling. Small tubes may be placed in your arms to drain any excess blood or fluid.
• Take medications as directed by your surgeon.
• Please do not move the bandages, the necessary changes will be made and the drain tubes will be removed at your check-up appointment.
• Avoid sun exposure after your surgery.
• Stay away from strenuous activities for at least four weeks.
• Avoid raising your arms above shoulder level for three to four weeks.
• Avoid using your arms for physical and sports activities that could stretch your incisions four to eight weeks after surgery.
• Take necessary pain relievers and use topical or oral antibiotics as directed to prevent wound infections.
